So I decided once again that I was going to eliminate coffee from my diet.
I was determined!
Day one rolls around and I wake up and make myself and nice cup of vanilla rooibos Tea! YUM! No problem made it through the day. Chris comes home from work and throws a brown leather travel mug at me and says "here" the week before I asked him while at Petro (his morning coffee stop) "Why don't you ever buy a travel mug it comes with 3 free refills which basically covers the cost of the mug." his reply "cause" So I guess I got him thinking and so he picked me up a travel mug with 3 free refills. Great now I'm on a no coffeeine kick and he gives me 3 free refills.

So anyways I go to bed for the night and can't sleep because the headaches are kicking in already. I wake up with a massive headache and enjoy my vanilla rooibos tea. no problem.

I'm on my way for the day and I have a lunch date with a couple of girlfriends and I just don't want to ruin it with my headache so I decide to grab a cup of coffee on my way to pick up some flyer's for Chris. Headache disappears.

FABULOUS!

So I picked up these flyer's and the lady was so grateful that we are going to hand them out for her at the "Business 2 Consumer Expo" this weekend that she gives me a $50 Starbucks gift card. Fabulous yes, but not good for my no coffeince diet(yes I know I can geta tea).

So day three comes along and I take Mya to Tim Horton's for lunch and can't resist a coffee since I had already had one the day before, guess what I won a FREE COFFEE.

I take this all as a sign that now isn't the time to quit caffeine.

Maybe when my free coffee's disappear I will try again!

I'm not the best baker in the Kitchen but the one thing I do right is banana bread!

Banana Bread Recipe:
1/2 cup margarine
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed banana( I usually have some frozen that were going bad)
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour( usually use a mix of whole wheat/white)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking sode
1/4 salt
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp vinegar
2/3 cups of chocolate chips

Cream together margarine and sugar.
Add eggs. Beat well.
Add banana and vanilla.
Then add all dry ingredients.
Mix and milk and vinegar.
Please in muffin tin or small loaf pans( Epicure sells silicone ones that are awsome) than sprinkle chocolate chips.
Bake at 350f for 30min.

Ali Edwards Challenge!

I realized it has been forever since I have posted a new entry. I really enjoy reading my fellow bloggers posts, to me it feels like if you haven't talk in over a month you still totally know what has gone on in their lives and can just pick up where you left off. For me I struggle with the journel aspect of blogs. Those that know me well know that grammer and spelling are not my favorites. (Please feel free to correct me It doesn't bother me!) Anyways to my point! I caught Chris last night looking at my very old and non updated blog. He actually commented that he enjoyed reading it. So I thought I would take ALi Edwards up on her challenge for the week( if anyone wants to join me please do) http://aliedwards.typepad.com

Challenge: documenting a week in your life I well be trying to take photo's of what my week/days look like and scrapebook them and hopefully post some as well. I hope everyone enjoys getting a little inside scoop of my life. I think some of it well surprise you. Here I go.
First surprise. This is what my kitchen looked like when I woke up ( i should say still looks like I took the picture and choose to update my blog instead of tackling the kitchen). I wake up in the morning to Chris's alarm clock blarning off station to some hard rock song( the alarm clock is set 11 mins faster than the real time so he always hits snooze, why not have it on real time and hit snooze? I can never really understand his logic, he always stands at the clock at night trying to figure out what time to set it and calculates the difference etc) Anyways normally the kids wake me up but today was a change and I was able to arise and make a cup of coffee and enjoy a few sips before yelling up the stairs at Kanaan to get up. Breakfest is made, lunch it packed and than it is time for school. Everymorning Kanaan asks me to get him a pair of socks. Why can't he you ask. Well take a look at the bottem drawer of the dryer. If there is one thing I can't stand that is matching socks. So every morning we fight as to who should get his socks and I always lose beacause the bus is coming and he needs to get out the door. I always have to send him off at the back door with a hug and kiss and " Have a good Day" . That was my morning. Now I guess I should acknowledge my other child Mya. I gave her some milk and set her in front of the tv. Maybe breakfest might be nice.

I will see how long I can doc. the day and life of Denise Renee Krahn. Enjoy!

Someone's garbage is someone else's treasure!
