6 years and too smart

Picture this: Christmas eve and the grandparents are over. We have just spent a great day together with the inlaws and sister in laws. Having christmas dinner, opening up presents and going sleding. Everyone has left and we were all ready for our night sleeping by the fire waiting for Santa to arrive. We decided to open some gifts before we go to bed( we always do this so that christmas morning is more relaxed and the kids can just play) Everyone had opened a gift and it was my turn. .Chris gave me a grey Abercrombie & Fitch hoddie and I had put it on. Kanaan has just learnt to read this past school year( the means it has only been 4 months) As he is reading my shirt he says if there was a "B" in stead of a "F" it would spell.........and I stop him and we all just started laughing. How do they learn so fast!

Simple, short and no information!

Well it has come to my attention that My husband doesn't like this thing called "BLOGGING" or as he puts it Exposing everyone to our lives. So I have to watch what I post. I don't know what the big deal is but somehow he is receiving information.( I know who it is!)

ANOTHER EXCUSE I GUESS!

Well Two days have come and gone and last night I had some cheese sticks and as I'm typing this I'm drinking coffee with sugar.
I was to terrible sick yesturday that I spent the whole day on the couch and the kids were totaly ingnored. When help was home I left my self go and got very sick and I just thought I had caught the flu and it was just bad timing. I have heard that was just all the bad toxins being released from my body. WOW if that is the case I'm full of them. Chris let me sleep for a hour and than he invited the neighbour kids over for pizza and movie( cute thought but come on the last thing that I needed was hearing other peoples kids never mind my own) Anyways I made the best of it and had some cheese sticks and I felt better.
Chris was leaving in the morning for weekend and I know that there was no way I could get through it being on this detox alone. So I'm sad to say that I have pull the plug for know. I going to really watch what I eat and keept excercising and hopefully when I have a little more support I well try it again.
Trust me it cost $36 and all the food that I bought for it I'm not going to let it just sit on my counter.

Once again I didn't succeed. This seems to be the story of my life lately.

After all of the can you believe that chris ask for S E X last night! Give me a break. His comment was "You said you were feeling better"

It has been a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well for those of you that have stopped checking my blog because I haven't updated it since august.
HERE I AM!

Summer has come and gone so quickly this year. THis summer was going to be full of adventure and exploring BC with the family camping. Well we did just that just one time! I have no idea where the time went buy! We did a couple of trips to the coast and Chris and I did a over nighter in Bellingham and that is about all the exploring that happened. We are already looking for a motorhome for next year so this doesn't happened again.

The summer was also filled with Chris losing his job and trying to figure out where to go from here and my dad buying , selling and moving into his new home. Mya has turned 3 and is turning into a true beauty with a attitude and Kanaan is growing up so fast. Yesturday he brought home a book that was three lines per page and he read most of it on his own. That makes me said and proud but WOW times is flying.

Just today I realized that my mom was only on this world for 58 years. In one breath it seems like a long time and than when I put it into persecptive when I'm 58 the kids well be 31 and that is just horrifing to me knowing that they could very easly be in the same situation as I have been when my Mom died. I want to live until the kids are old and grey and see where there life has brought them.
Last night as I was putting Mya to sleep she was just so pretty and I just thought to myself that my Mom would so love to be here spending time with Mya!

Anyways that brings me to my next adventure. I want to live a long heathly life and that is something that I haven't been doing. Excuses have come way to easly to me this last year and it has gotten the best of me.

I have started as of today the "WILD ROSE" detox. It isn't pleasent and it has only been the first day. I well for warn you that if you call or see me anytime in the next 12 days that our conversation well be around food. I love and I want it. I know that I need to get through this to bring me to the next step of excersing on a regular basis.

I'm telling everyone that I'm doing this so that I'm held accountable.
If anyone has any suggestions of something good to eat please let me now.

Sometimes they just amaze you!

Kanaan has be driving me nuts lately. He has been doing everything he can to make his sister mad, he has been crying like a baby to everything. Like tonight he would not stop crying because he couldn't get his radio at the right volume for when he goes to bed . So anyways tonight we decided to do some things outside like cut the grass, trim the flowers etc and I heard Kanaan say " Doesn't that fence need to be fixed?" than he proceed to grab a hammer and some nails and find a stool so he could reach( it is actually a rubermaid container) and went over to the neighbours fence and started to fix it. Low and behold he actually did it by himself.

Kanaan surprises me just when I have almost of had enough of him. This makes up for everything else.

We well see how tommorow goes!

I have had my camera for ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh along time and I never really have time to play with it so today at Skaha I deceided to try out a button and it was so cool. It is amazing what you can do if you have time to play with all the buttons. This button was just a continous shotting so I got Kanaan going down the slide.

Kanaan's Swimming lessons at Peachland Beach

Way to Go Kanaan! Kanaan passed Swimming lessons for the first time at Peachland Beach! As soon as he was done he asked when he could go again. Thank goodness because the very first day of swimming lessons we left early because he was crying like a baby and after two weeks he was asking for more. Why is it such a struggle to get them to do anything!

Fathers Day!

We went up to Sugar lake with My Dad, the kids and Jay and Mel Friesen and there the kids for a Father's day fire and fishing trip. Little did we know that it would be super windy and pretty crappy for fishing. We made the best of it and tried to warm up by the fire. The guys through the rods in a couple of times and than we roasted some winnies and called it a day. Chris, Dad, the kids and myself continued up the very bumpy, gravel, off the side of the mountain roads to find "Headwaters" and "Peachland" Lake. Peachland is beautiful but Iwouldn't recommend anyone with a weak stomach to go up there. I was telling chris every minute or so to "go slower"," be carefull"

Happy Father's Day!!

No Voice!

I have been fighting something for almost a week and it has finally shut me up!

I have no voice, just a whisper today! If you think I'm lying just try calling me!

I have learnt one huge lesson this morning.

MY KIDS CAN HEAR A WHISPER!
Do you know what that means?
It means that I shouldn't have to yell at the kids in order for them to listen to me!
All morning they have been listening and I can't even talk. Funny how that works.
When I ask Kanaann 3 times to do something he can't hear me when I yell at him he still can't hear me or understand me but when I whisper something he can hear me the first try.

I might have to pretend all week that I can't talk and see what I can get accomplished with the kids.

Beach Bums

Wow I can say I have a good life. Nothing like going to the beach on a Friday afternoon and enjoying the sun. I ran into so many people it was nice to just hang out. We did get sunburnt but we are already planning the day tommorow. This time boating! I can't believe how fast these kids grow up.

Well I actually did it!!

I actually sucked up the big bucks and got Lasik surgery instead of new glasses.

What a piece of cake! I would recommend it to anyone.
We left thursday night and stayed in Langley(super 8 with a waterslide) quickly went for a swim when we arrived because the pool was closing and than we were so hungry that Chris went out at 10pm and got everyone Mcdonalds. The kids loved that.
The next morning we spent a few hours at The Greater Vancouver Zoo ( most of the animals were still sleeping when we arrived so I would suggesting not going first thing in the morning),

We deceided to venture into Vancouver with lots of time to spare before my appointment because Chris and I just don't get along in Vancouver, we always get lots for some reason. This time I googled everything and It went smoothly the whole time and we never got lost.

We ended up staying at posh hotel just off Robison( with the kids) It was actually was one to the cheaper ones through Coal Harbour. It was beautiful. We walked around the sea wall for a bit and than I headed off to Coal Harbour. Kids are not recommend on coming to the appointments so Chris had to kept themselfs busy for a couple of hours. They actually arrived to pick me up just as I was finishing the procedure so they got to watch a couple of minutes of it on the TV.

The procedure was not painful at all just kind of wiered. It was blurry when I left the clinic( it didn't stop me from shopping on Robinson for a few hours) after a couple of hours it was getting better and by the next morning my eyes were just dry. Chris and the Kids bought me flowers for when I arrived back at the hotel and they ended up staying alive in the car cup holder all weekend.
Anyways to keep going , the next morning I had a quick check and everything was fine and than we were off to Victoria. The trip went great expect for the fact the kids kindof got to us and we were losing are patience because the kids are just spoiled and it is always about them. We made it through it and got to see way more of Victoria than what I expected. It is beautiful and we well return there on a camping trip so it won't be so expensive.

Anyways thank you to everyone in helping me make the big decision and I only wish I would of done it sooner.

My kids make me proud

Tradition in our house for Grandma's birthday,death day and mothers etc. Is to go to the dollar store and Kanaan, Mya and Myself pick a colour of ballon and we get them filled and take them to My mom's grave site. We talk a little bit about her, who she is, what we miss about her and I always try to explain where she is. Mya calls the grave site" Grandma's House" she really doesn't get it. Kanaan understands and misses her a lot and I try so hard for him not to forget about her. Kanaan always kneels by her stone asks me what it says and asks questions about God and takes a few moments to think. Well this time Mya decided to join him and I thought it was just the most precious thing and had to take pictures. I swear this was not a posed.

The kids make me so pround.

Well the other day I was driving with the kids and was waiting in a long line up to turn and Mya asks me "why aren't we there yet?" I proceeded to tell her that there were cars in are way.
And her comment was ;

"Mom just say excuse me and and go"

Picture Perfect day and no camera!!!!

Ok Picture this:

Beautiful afternoon and we all decided to go quading for a family day!!Great idea right?

It actually was but what do you do with a two year old on a quad?

Chris decided to get a quad back seat( illegal/not safe) the quad has huge warning signs on it not suitable for passergers. That doesnt' stop him. So he riggs up this seat and riggs it up so Mya's car seat well sit in it. Well Mya is as happy as could be, She loves riding with dad on the quad ..Normally it is just on our yard( we have 2 1/2 acres) but she was going on a huge adventure today. We packed a picinc lunch and told Mya that we were going to the quad park( meaning just trails in the woods). We were on are way and drove for a little with kanaan leading the pack( yes he has his own quad and is a better driver than I'm) Chris and Mya were in the middle and I held up the back end. We drove to a cute little spot with a wood bridge and a creek running under it and had a picinc lunch. Mya asked were the slide was because we were sappose to be going to a quad park so that took some explaining. We actually ended up running in to a group of people we new and visited for a little while and we starting heading back. Than something happened. Mya fell asleep in her car seat setting on the back of Chris's quad while we were in the middle of know where up the mountain. I felt so bad for her. Her head was just bobbing away. We ended up making it down to the truck Mya still asleep loaded up the quads and went all the way home and put Mya in bed and had to wake her up after a hour at home. She was out cold!

Anyways I sure wish I had a camera there would of been some good shots. I hope you got the pictures!

Ok, So this computer thing is not for me!!!!!!!

It took me all day long to log into my blog. I couldn't remember for the life of me what my username and password were. Anyways it is all fixed and hopefully with a little bit of luck I well be able to figure out how to add pictures.

I just wanted to address the name "Bernice" It was a name given to me by Dan(Huebe)( Chris's Cousin) as I call him and it has just kind of stuck. ( it is better than "tank" that is what he called me when I was prego.)

Do I know what I'm doing?

Well I figure that I better get with the program and join in on the blogging.
I love reading other peoples bloggs and hopefully someone well like reading mine. I'm getting so far away from the technology side of things that I thought I better start with this and I also purchased a cell phone with a camera phone/mp3 player that I have no idea how to use. So those are the two things that I'm currently working on to get caught out with Techno.

Let me begin with;
Spelling mistakes come naturally with me so don't be surprised to see many, many , many of them. The ones that know me well are more than likely laughing at me already. I just thought I would put that out there so I don't start receiving thousands of emails stating the obivous.
